    Default Brush piles

Got 4 trees loaded and ready to be baptized in the morning. I tied Gatorade bottles to the tops hoping they will semi stand up. I’m gonna aim for 10-15 fow. Name: IMG_0013.jpg

Don't know how dead they are but the deader they are the more weight/harder to keep sunk they are. I always shoot for sinking fresh cut stuff.

Man i don't know if there has ever been a truer statement!! I got two of them to sink, but the other two just kinda floated. I never realized how much weight it took to sink them things.

I prefer hardwood , Christmas trees don't last very long . but beats nothing . We never add anything to float . Big zip ties and old concrete blocks make it easy .

Use osage orange in winter when leaves are off .It's heavy and lasts under water for decades maybe longer.

Yea, i kinda think this was the last of the Christmas trees. I will be using limbs for now on. Doesn't take as much weight to sink them, and they don't make near the mess, and you don't really have to haul them, just get to the lake and cut some.

It’s know what you can and can’t do. Have lakes here that don’t care if you sink or cut and some lakes that do care. Even have one that has signs posted not to cut anything due to being a national park.
