Default How many drops per new brushpile?

I dropped this sweet gum branch with 2 cinder blocks and one noodle cut in half then tied to main limbs. It was16' long maybe 12 ft wide. I have plenty more limbs to sink just curious what was the average size of most piles and how many drops on average Name: 20180708_154256.jpg

Never really know! I would say the bigger the better but on the other hand building several habitats so to have different places to try is important also. I like having about 4 bamboo condos placed fairly close as they have worked for me this summer so far.

Be safe and good luck fishing

I like to have lots of small spots rather than just a couple big spots

We cut off all the small stuff . These lasts longer and easier to fish . They work much better if open enough to allow fish access not just around . I wire or zip tie them together with a concrete block all I can flip off boat cross ways . usually haul one front and one on back .

I will try that one day this winter when all the leaves are gone. I have heard that green brush was key to keeping fish on the piles in the summer heat so they have shade. But catch fish off old piles that for sure have no leaves so I guess it works both ways. Although old established brush seems to hold fish better tan a new spot. It's a boatload of fun no matter how you slice it. Fish On!
