    Default Clams in pond??

In our local canal and river systems there is an abundance of clams. Any thoughts if they would help filter and keep my pond clean or would cause any harm?

I've been wondering the same thing. My pond has a few mussels in it and I haven't noticed any negative impact.

Any pond managers or biologists on here that want to weigh in?

Our 7 acre pond/lake is full of them . I was led to believe it was food for red ear . Could be wrong .

I don't think they cause any harm, Catfish love them.

Many different species . I think they clean up water . Blue Catfish and Red Ear Bream love the small ones .
