    Planning on putting about 10 or so of these out in 10 ft of water.

    Not sure. I think its PVC. My buddy with Wildlife Freshwater Fisheries and I along with AL Power will be dropping about 30 of these around the lake I fish at. There's not much brush or cover out there, so he thinks this will be a good start.

    Dang good start. I’d put out multiple types of structure. PVC, branches, wooden fence panel stake beds, etc. Never know what they will want to relate to day to day. Better to have a little of everything.

    Without cross legs on bottom or float on top , think they will sink upright on bottom of the lake ?

    One issue with making cover is that it looks good to most fishermen....please take this as constructive to help your fishing!
    So where in your cover is a Crappie going to hide? Where would they ambush prey, or just chill?
    When you make cover look at it...how many fish will it hold...how many can hide in it?
    Crappie like trees and dense cover they can navigate in, hide, or rest....or stumps, posts, docks, big cover, etc, that offer shade or an ambush point.
