I was thinking for the limbs ripping 1 1/4 PVC in half on a table saw, then attach the wood inside of the half pipe facing up. Benefits of wood and snag resistance of PVC.

When I get some time I will have to work on it. 60 hour work weeks are have me slowed down on projects.

I once went to a lot of trouble to sink a large Cedar tree. I am a diver and only got to dive on the tree one time. the second time the tree was gone. Some rascal had moved it, yes moved it. I have known guys that rig up hooks out of rebar tied to ropes for the sole purpose of hooking onto someones structure they find and move it, steal it. It was probably 3 years before I placed any more fish attractors. There are some folks that will run others trot lines, take fish off someones noodles and so on. That is very discouraging to some of us that do not do such things. One time I had out about 40 attractors, I went diving one day while a bass tournament was going on, the first 5 attractors that I motored up on, ones I had placed, were either being fished at the time or had marker bouys where someone with electronics had found and marked them to come back to later.

As to new electronics showing up the fish; I watched a youtube video of a guy ice fishing for crappie, he just had a flasher unit but was very adept at using it. He had the sensitivity up on it and could tell when a fish (crappie) was about to bite his jig. So with the newer technological advances, some that only a few can afford, I can see where it could actually put a fishery in jepardy. I have read articles about people fishing for bream in the summer, using the electronics to locate just the right terrain feature, finding the fish then just wearing them out, then duplicating it time and time again, seems to me that this would be very hard on a fishery to keep up. Not all fisherman just keep a mess to eat or practice catch and release.

Personally in spring I don't fish the spawning areas. I will fish deeper waters, catch and release the fish staging to spawn or coming off of the beds. I am not saying anyone else should do this. It is just my opinion, and my way of helping to sustain the fishery into the future.

Maintaining fisheries is key. I also throw back MANY spawn fish to let them reproduce naturally. Nothing wrong with that JW! Good for you.
