    Default My CPVC condos

This is the aluminum foil I put inside the pipes for better visibility on the sonar.

    Apicture of the condos.

    Default finally got it working!

What is your honest opinion? Notice the aluminum foil in some of the pipes for better visibility on the sonar. I just left it sticking out for picture purposes. I push it down the pipe before sinking.

That's odd. In the test area the pictures actually showed in the post.

The only thing I don't like about these condos is nothing is spead out around the bottom. I want pipe touching or near the bottom of the lake.

Looks great. Please post the GPS coordinates where you place them. The only suggestion I might have would be to use fewer pieces of pvc per condo. I personally use six. Jim Duckworth in his video uses about 6 or 8. nothing wrong with what you have done, just using a fewer pieces may allow you to make more condos. Good Luck!!!

You might try and cut a few holes in the lower portion of the bucket - cut some of the PVC pipes a little shorter - place them thru the lower holes, so that they stick out horizontally or at a downward angle. You would want the PVC pipe to fit these holes snug (to deter leaking of the 'crete). This serves several purposes .... one is to help keep the bucket condo from tipping over - the other, is to mimic "root wads".
Doing so, may make transport & dropping of these condos a little awkward ... but, could be worth the effort.

Another possible solution, is making a condo piece that is similar in design to the J&J Habitat (see pics of Dmann's larger versions on this : http://www.crappie.com/gr8vb3/showth...hlight=habitat )
You could make several smaller versions ... fill the larger, core PVC pipe with "crete" - then drop them alongside or close to the bucket condo's.

Design & implementation of condos, is totally controlled by ones imagination .... most any "versions" will work, to some extent, as long as they're placed in the correct place. Even 5gal plastic buckets, partially full of rocks, sand, or 'crete are "fish attractors" ... representing a stump. Richard Williams places many of "these" ... creating his own "stump rows". .... luck2ya ... cp

I get pickup loads of the cpvc for free so I pack as many as possible without making it too cluttered. I also remove the bucket handle and leave a small loop of a coat hanger sticking out the concrete to minimize any chance of hooking the condos. I double my rope and slip it through the hanger. Once the bucket is over the side of the boat and in the water they straighten right up and go straight down. Thump it on the bottom a few times to make sure they are stable and won't tip and pull the rope back up.
I thought about doing what crappiepappy mentioned but transporting would be a pain.
I have dropped these at depths of 10' down to 40'. Usually put them on dropoffs like roadbeds or old railroad track beds.
    Thanks for the comments.

These condos that I placed in 2005 and 2006 are still producing. I have been fishing them heavily since August this year and earlier in the spring. They don't let me down and produce all year long even in the heat of summer.
