Yum looks delicious. I love a good hearty meaty spaghetti sauce.
we team thing cook these days , the kid makes the pasta , mom does the salad and dad makes the sauce .
The kid does her pasta different to say the least ,but to be very sure it turns out tasty , of course the basil garden took a beating on it , but all is still well ....
she used chopped onion , fresh basil leaves whole and whole garlic cloves and some salt in her pasta water.
I opted for some venison breakfast sausage as my ground meat product and some pork and beef store bought sausage too . diced celery, carrots and onion and lots of basil and garlic and etc. and half a bottle of Prego and the same amount of bottled water .....
simmer for about 30 minutes after browning all the meat and softening the veggies first before adding the sauce ....
it was quite simply put one of the best spaghetti dinners we have encountered , I made a few nice slices of garlic bread to go with the dinner and then .....
a peach Yoplait with a fresh peach sliced and put in the top ....
a simple pleasure no doubt , but ALL the food stuffs were for sure, 5 star good to the last bite
p.s. no crappie were harmed during the event

Sausage is my favorite red sauce meat. Great choice for the protein.

Looks great. I also like sausage in a red gravy. Got some fresh pork sausage with green onion and jalapeno to use in a sauce real soon. Had 8 pounds made at a local meat market. I use a lot of smoked sausage, but sometimes I want fresh, no smoke. Fried up it makes a great sandwich also. Now I'm hungry. Going with friends to Olive Garden for lunch. Regular Wednesday thing.
YUM!
