    Default Gluten-free fish batter

So mom is now gluten intolerant. She also can not use corn products so it took a little time to come up with a fish breading we could use. We now take oatmeal and grind it into flour in the food processor. Then we mix that with instant mashed potato flakes. We season with Lowry’s and some pepper to taste. For those who like spicy fish add some cayenne and there you go. Works good on deer steak as well.

Thank you for sharing this. My wife was told to go gluten free by her doctor recently.

Very creative and clever too. King Arthur Flour company has a lot of non-mainstream flour offerings, Oat flour I'm sure they must have.

You can also mix rice flour and GF beer or sparkling water together to make something akin to tempura batter (think crepe not pancake consistency, aka go thinner).
