It is hard to beat good sushi. I like the spicy tuna roll myself. But most any sushi is delicious. I am not adventurous enough for gas station sushi though. I believe you have influenced tonight's dinner choice. We have not been to the Japanese restaurant in town in a long while. The pandemic had it shut down

Sushi is a primary once a week thing at our house, "Jerry" inherited that place from his parents and they really can roll up some tasty goods , but that all said we also buy it at Sam's and that fella rolls some great stuff as well .
I don't roll it anymore myself though because it is a bit time consuming for a one meal deal, but to be sure it isn't that difficult to learn to roll Sushi , "Jerry" at the place we ate taught me how to do it 15 years ago.

Took Mrs DockShooter to a Japanese restaurant and I ordered spicy tuna. She pulls the tuna off the top and eats the rice. Looks at me and says it didn't taste a bit like fish. While I wasn't looking she sampled a good sized helping of Wasabi paste. That opened her eyes and sinuses

It is a different kind of heat. Definitely front of the mouth and sinus area. Even spicier when it is fresh.

The "raw" fish is not typically our thing , we made an exception on the "chefs" choice roll
We about never ever order Sashimi , not really our thing much ....
we sure will hammer some California rolls though and cucumber rolls and avocado rolls and other "cooked" item rolls too
