    Default Cooking crawfish?

How long do you boil live crawfish? Seems to be suggestions ranging from 3-15 minutes. Then allow to remain in the seasoned water how long??

Boil for 5 min then let them soak for a minimum of 15 min, test a couple just the meat for seasoning. Don't lick your fingers or suck the head, then if someone wants more spice sprinkle some powdered crab boil over theirs to kick up the flavor.

Bring season water to a rolling boil, dumped your live crawfish in, bring it back to a rolling boil. Cover pot, then turn off heat. let this soak for about 30 minutes. The longer you soak the more spicy they will be.

Also works for boiling eggs. After the soak time douse in cool water for a few minutes and they peel easy

I bring my seasoned water to a rolling boil, dump live crawfish in and bring back to a boil, let boil for 7 minutes. Turn off fire and let soak for 5 minutes. If you let them soak too long, they will be harder to peel (overcooked). I do Crabs the same way.
