Hey friends, I lost my mother in June and have raided her recipe box. I have made these little boogers before, but it just ain’t Christmas without them. I made a triple batch and have shared them with family & friends. Dad has been asking for them since just after Thanksgiving.
So here’s the recipe if anyone wants to make them. They are easy & good!!!
Mama’s Pecan Sandies
2 sticks softened real butter
1/3 cup granulated sugar
2 tsp water
2 tsp vanilla
2 cups all purpose flour
1 cup chopped pecans
Cream butter, sugar, water, vanilla together with electric mixer. Add flour and pecans, mix until it would form a big ball........chill. Roll into walnut size balls; they will not spread out too much so you can get lots of them on a cookie sheet. Bake at 325 degrees until tops & bottoms are golden brown (around 20-25 minutes or so). Cool, then roll in powdered sugar.
From my house to yours.......Enjoy & Stay Safe.
