Good looking vittles
A couple weeks ago that great fisherman from down river (Drumking) posted up a picture of a big old Walleye he caught from below Watts Bar Dam. And then, last week another dude down that way (M Blue Guy) posted up a tailgate full of said toothy critters. Good eating fish they are, and in both instances I thought to myself, about time to cook up a plateful of Walleye for supper. Now this summer I stuck my fair share of the them as I prefer to fish for them when it is warm, kinda of a weenie in this cold weather.
?
A couple from the summer, that ended up in the freezer and tonight, on the plate.
?
?
The usual suspects came together, Panko and Parmesan crusted the fillets and oven roasted veggies got an olive oil bath. Bacon crumbles were added to the Sprouts, just added a little extra flavor.
?
?
?
Before a 400 degree bake, then after. Supper was on. Plated shot with a rice/edamame mixture, and the wife rolled in just in time.
?
I prefer Panfish for the plate, but Baked Walleye is a favorite in this household. So thanks Drumking for posting the Walleye picture, I hope yours tasted as good as ours did tonight.

Dang that looks good... those come from Cherokee?
Those were Deep Water Douglas fish from the summer. Last week the Walleye and Sauger both were being caught on Cherokee up in the river near the Hugh B Day Bridge that spans over the River right outside Rogersville.....However, the rains came and it is chocolate milk now and the toothy critters are who knows where??? Good eating, but I do like Panfish the best.
