    Default Freezing Crappie

I take my fillets and “suspend” them in water with a little salt and freeze them that way. No freezer burn and very fresh upon thawing. I use the plastic ziploc plastic containers btw.

Never tried adding salt to the water. I assume you are using Sea Salt. I have historically shared my excess fillets but with the rise in food costs I plan on putting up more for our use. Also in the plans are different ways to process the fillets before & after cooking, for making other dishes.

I do the same, no salt. My brother vacuum seals his no water. Both seem to work ok.
