    Default Cajun Sauteed Crappie

My wife cooked some shrimp in olive oil by first putting olive oil in a skillet on medium heat. Then adding seasoning mix(onion, bell pepper, celery) and after a bit some minced garlic, and some Tony Chacere's seasoning. I thought why not crappie, and happened to have a fresh caught one handily fileted. Same sauce and sauteed the crappie until done. Really good and super easy. One pan clean up if you use paper plates!

I will do that when I just have a couple and want a quick dinner. Sauteeing them in skillet is quick and easy peasey plus little cleanup. any style seasoning you like will do, even cracked black pepper and sea salt is good with garlic bits and onions.

Instead of using Tony Chacere's use Chesapeake Bay seasoning and a touch of Tony's, makes it fantastic. You can get the Chesapeake Bay at Kroger. Don't over do it it is strong.
If you try it let me know if you liked it.

I use the Old Bay sometimes. Not enough Kick by itself for me. Just found Kingsford Original No Salt all purpose seasoning, and I like it a lot. Gotta go fishing so I can try it in the recipe!
