    Had a test run at noon but rechecked it at supper . It is officially coconut and my grandma's recipe .LEFT IN 1981 but she still lives .Name:  20180405_171629.jpg

    I use to help my Grandma -- Beat the Egg whites with a hand egg beater ... I always got to lick the thing and the Bowl -- then the Pie filling bowl. Brothers said I was her Pet, But I was the one that got the good stuff

    My grandma always made "Karo Nut Pies" and they were always my favorite. She put in a dash of cinnamon and made them different, but goooood! She made a mean "Cocernut Pie" too. Keep our grandma's memories alive for the younger generations........Thanks for the post. I'll bet the pie is awesome! GTT

    I’m so very fortunate my grandparents are still around. Both in there 90’s. Nobody can cook like your grandmother even if same recipe! Wife has tried for years to copy her Thanksgiving dressing even been shown and taught by my grandmother but just not the same. One of our favorite gifts she gave everyone years ago was recipe books handwritten by her with some of her recipes. Priceless!!
