Being farm raised, and poor ,we ate prettymuch anything and everything. Not much I can't stomach, but blood pudding is off the menu for me.when we butchered pigs and beef,my granddad would catch the blood in a bowl when we stuck them,he would put it in the icebox untill it coagulated, sprinkle sugar on it and eat it.........that's where I draw the line!

I grew up a Marine's kid, if it was put on the table and on your plate you ate the first helping period. If you took more, yu ate it all...never could get past boiled oakry. Sure am glad dad didn't like it either...just seamed to be a weed in hot snot to me...
Now I can eat fried oakry, just not boiled...

I've given both of these a fair try in adulthood thinking maybe my taste buds have changed since childhood BUT . . . . Nope. I cannot stand brussel sprouts (just gags me) or cantaloupe (smells good, hate the texture). Also there's one other thing that stands out and that's Swiss Steak. I remember one time in particular when I was about 6 years old, Mom made it, and she's a great cook, but I just didn't like it. That was back in the day when you didn't leave the table til you ate what was on your plate or you had it for breakfast the next day. I sat there for what seemed like hours, cried, and finally ate enough to satisfy her. I guess she realized that I REALLY didn't like it because I haven't had it since and I'm almost 52.

I agree with MAC and anyone else who said chitlings, chiterlings or how ever else you want to say it. Had to work in a kitchen in the service, and these were cooked once a month...honestly got throwing up sick every time too.....
