Thread: Air Fryer

My son has a turkey friar that doesn't use oil. Turkeys are good in it, but we used it to do a prime rib for a group of guys and it was outstanding. Not sure how it would do on small fish. A whole salmon might be good.
Have you tried the "Baked Parmesan Crappie" recipe on this thread. It has had dozens of likes and comments, all very good. Bout as close to fried as you can get and wifey would approve.

There is a recent thread on here about air fryers, I have a nuwave , I can tell you this your not gonna find anyone who loves fried food more than me...and everything I tried to cook in it comes out great. is there a little difference sure but not enough to turn me off, look on youtube there are a bunch of videos of cooking with air fryers.

I've got a Nu-wave, myself ... and while I don't use it for fish, I did cook some King Mac fillets in it and they came out good. Light brushing with olive oil or peanut oil and fire it up. Everything else I fry is done in an iron skillet (and always has been since I was a kid), in peanut oil (~1/4" deep). I only use a light coating of yellow corn meal on my fish. I don't like heavy coatings on fish, because they tend to soak up the oil.
