70lb maxxum troller, hi tech rod holders with bases on bow and stern and a few Scotty style holders scattered here and there. Hds9 at the console and an elite 7 up front on a custom high rise mount that I salvaged and tweaked a little from the dumpster at work :-). The 3rd pic shows the trolling battery move I did to add weight to front of boat to help with wind control (still need a lot more) they are in the front center storage compartment. And yes the rods running down the boat are 16' bnm pst bought from a fellow member here. That crankin sure is fun. She's a smooth ride but has her open water limitations but theirs no monthly payments involved. My dad and I bought it new and split everything on it. Just wish he would run that maxxum sometime. Lol

Here is my ProGator 154s. I call her "Blue Belle". Shes a 1992 model but I have her updated with some good equipment. Since I have got her from her previous owner I have installed a Helix 7 SI/GPS and a Helix 5 DI, changed both seats out to Millennium, added the driftmaster tip saver, added a NOCO dual bank charger, changed the trolling motor out to a Motorguide Xi5, and added two Cumberland Crappie 360 rod holders (one in the back and one in the front so I fish 4 poles and my passenger fished 4 poles out the back). I also upgraded the power panel and basically rewired the whole boat. Shes an oldie but a goodie! If you look close on the side at the back you can see my red, white, and blue Crappie.com stickers on her.

This is by no means a fancy boat with lots of extra accessories but it has a unique story with a lesson.

Back about 1987 my 7 year old son wanted a fishing boat and I thought if he learned to earn money to buy a boat it would teach him a life lesson. So all that summer he and I collected soda return money from the .10 deposit at the end of that summer we collected the needed $200.00 to buy the old Aerocraft boat.
Years went by and the old boat got passed on to my brother who used it and kept it under cover, recently he moved and asked my son (who is now 37 and has a son) if he'd like the boat back.....my son said yes and was about to teach his son a life lesson.

The little guy in the picture is my 9 year old grandson Aiden, my son asked me if Aiden could "work" for me some this summer and at the end I was to give Aiden the boat as a learning tool that hard work has its reward.

This old boat has taught 2 generations life lessons......I wonder if someday it will be passed to the next generation
