• A look back into February

Sitting here snowed in and bored. Thought I'd share some pics and stories.

Broke ice this day to find them. Not any numbers but the fish were quality sized.

Feb fish numbers were not as good as Dec.,but a lot better than Jans. 87 fish harvested in 7 trips. 2 limits in the kayak,2 trips with my son, shared the water with some quality people that love crappie fishing and are willing to share their wisdom. MANY THANKS TO ALL OF YOU. Now that there's enough for the future fry's and personal consumption its time to hone my jig fishing skills.

Here's a few to start with. My last couple of trips have been jigs only. I think that I'd like to round out the rest of my season with jigs. Its going to be tough as i prefer minnows and the majority of my harvest came from them. I will also be releasing the future fish I catch unless there's someone else fishing with me and wants to keep some. The spawn is about to occur and you know what that means. Happy Crappie fishin to you all. Enjoy some of these.
