Wally told me at the Grizzly Jig Show he was gonna stop by, but we all know how fishermen uuuuuh exaggerate. Well, Wally and Greg Matheny stopped in early this morning for a visit. Wally served me up a platter full of black/chartreuse "Poles" for breakfast. They sure look good but were chewy and tasted like fish butt. Guess I will have to put 'em on a jig head and see what the fish think.

Greg, Wally and I sat around and shot the bull. I believe Wally had a show going on in Benton, Ky. I really enjoyed the jawing. Wally had a truck load of goodies. Wow! Got to see some new stuff.

Lucky that I was at the lake to see them. I went up yesterday to meet the insurance adjuster for wind damage assessment, plus I have a funeral to attend Tuesday.

The visit cheered Brenda and myself.

Thanks to Wally and Greg for stopping by and making our day.

Wally Marshall is a class act. I emailed him last spring when I was unable to locate his Lews Tuxedo Black spinning reels to see if he could tell me where to find them. Not only did he respond, but he sent me his cell number and told me to call if his suggestions on where to find the reels didn't pan out and he would help me get a few.
