great trip to Reelfoot with some friends over the weekend. Caught big bull bluegill all weekend, jigged trees and pads with grizzly’s and crickets. The lake was devoid of fisherman and most of the resorts had half to three quarter empty parking lots, twenty years ago this place was booming. Sad to see it in decline, I’ve been going for 25 years. On the flip side it’s nice to have a lake to yourself.
Reelfoot is such a unique place and usually this time of year it is crowded out on the water and at the resorts. What's up with so few there? did you go after crappie, which is the other species it is known for at all?
