• Kayak report for Limestone creek (Gator seen)

I fished limestone creek on Tuesday from daylight till 3 . The white bass (stripe) bite is on fire. I caught several 2 lb plus that were about to bust. Ended up with 13 keeper crappie and a bunch of bluegill. I had several 13-14 inch crappie and a couple of bass. First one had a lamprey on it out of the 1st pit. Also caught several 8 7/8 inch fish that i released. Crappie and bluegill were turned loose in BIL pond for the kids to catch. The big Gator was in the 1st pit (big pit) but stayed out in the center with just his eyes and nose above water. If I stayed still for very long he would slowly go under and come back up later and see where i was. Very interesting to be able to fish around him and watch him. 4 of the crappie came out of the 1st pit and the rest came out of the creek channel on bobby garland and a 1/32 hand tied hair jig. With all the rain and muddy water it will be a while before it will be right again
