Crappie Day Ice Fishing In Michigan

Caught 7 Pike, only 2 keeper, one 24 & one 25". Also caught 18 Crappies, Sandy (Crappie 2) got the biggest one it was 11 1/2". I hate when she does that. Got them on Lindy Fat Boys, Chart/white glow & Pink/white glow. Fun Day.

Got 13 Crappie Today on Lindy Fat Boys # 6 Char Green/ Glow and minnows. Was a pretty good day. Fun to get into them again on the little poles. The new Genz In Line worked great.

Never could find the hankerin' to sit in one of them little huts on ice around a hole to catch fish. Too cold for me.

just the thought of ice fishing sounds cold, bet those pike put up a good fight on those ice fishing rods

Crappie 1 your klling me lol. Still planning on heading that way in Feb.

Good catch and the other half on my side shows me up at times as well...be safe out there.

Love those post with pictures. How do you fillet/clean a that pike? I tried once, but couldn't get those "y" bones out.

I filet them and Sandy takes out the y bones. She's pretty darn good at it. Then she fries up the strips with the bones in and we "pick" at them. Good eating..
