Well they weren’t on fire, but got a few thumps to be sure. As for keepers, I’d say two were slabs, one was good eater and the last guy just long enough to be legal.
I was hungry after church and set off on my usual weekend mission to find them. An afternoon on the water, where the wind was calm and the throttle on the 9.9 wide open baby!! It was nice to be one of the only guys in the parking lot and no chop for the 1436 to deal with.
After a few hours, I headed back to put out. Got enough for a good meal, but sadly one of the fish was contaminated with a red worm (yuck!). I tossed that fish out and examined the others closely. Others were good, but I’m watching close now for any reoccurrences.
Here’s a photo of some donkey slabs I was blessed to catch today
And another big momma slab from last week
God bless y’all.
