There was a day when I was a bit more energetic and quicker with my camera on my phone . That was not yesterday
Struggled to get images captured yesterday for sure in a stiff northwest wind and struggled a bit to get specimens for the images as well ....
One thing worthy of mention was I think I got a tap is well over with in that spot , they laid on it really hard when they made their little crappie minds up to eat it .
Tried a late afternoon visit over there for grins , never hit it any time other than around lunch time . Might have managed more fish if I tried another color and or a different bait , but 33 fish in an hour and 15 minutes aint just a horribly poor ketch rate right ?
Around 10 fish or so were in the over 10 inches size range and most of them were black crappie .
Sure was a startling situation when one committed to eating said artificial bait . The KABOOM was right there and it really did feel sweet . Love a hammer it hard thump is me
Was all alone out there and did a few time delay camera captures and bought lost my phone when the wind knocked it off a barrel towards to water , seems my hands are still pretty fast though and was able to snatch it up before it went for a swim ....
Sorry for the lack of fish stories and images lately ,had some kind of cold thing for a few days and with hunting season upon me and the other things in life to take care of , I am off my normal 5 to 7 times a week water visits .
particulars , northwest wind 10 to 15 , 50 ish outside ,water probably 60 ish , fish were mostly in the lower part of the water column at around 6 deep in 7 to 8 foot of water . liked it moved a bit in some cases and even a twitch here and there coupled with a slightly rising .
all the fish went free as is the case when I hit them alone 99.9% of the time .
thats my story and onward I go to play hunter fella in the woods on the afternoon hunt this evening ......
