SLABSAUCE Crappie Attractant |
  • I invited a few home for supper

It was a steady bite all morning. The fog was thick as pea soup as they say. They were slamming the jig with authority early on. I could hear the thump coming from the rod. Water was way down and still falling. I found fish on 3 docks. All had 8 feet of water at the front end. Fish were tight to cover. These docks had brush under them. If your jig wasn't ticking the brush you weren't getting bit. Color didn't seem to matter to them as long as it had a thin profile. 2.5 Gulp minnows in smelt color, Bobby Garland Blue Ice and Bobby Garland baby shad in Meteor were the colors I used. They would turn cold on a color after a fish or two. Changing to a different color would wake them back up. Lost count somewhere around 20. Left with 7 crappie between 10.5 and 12 inches and 2 Goggle eye to make it onto the smoker this afternoon
