• Water temps now in the 60's

It is getting close the fall bite is about here . Some lakes fish moving to back of creeks already. Have had tough time couple days between fish moving and wind . Found a few Friday really shallow . Temps drop a little more and they will follow Shad to their fall wintering holes . Yesterday started slow fishing cover in 6 to 10' of water . Almost left with 15 as wind picked up . Livescoping stake beds and brushpiles mostly . Changed up to 2.5'' orange/chartreuse 2.5'' Little Hustler by Southern Pro rigged on the 1/8 oz instead of the 1/4 for a slower fall . Used the Huckabee 13' Trident rod to stay off them in the shallow water .Water was muddier than usual and the bright colored bigger bait seemed to help in the muddy water . Made a move to a couple snags out of the wind and saw them stacked on root wads in 7 to 8' of water . Had to work it close and hold it still close to wood . Left after keeping the rest of my limit . Actually released another 30 or more but left them biting . I usually seldom find them stacked on a piece of cover like that here . I never would have stayed on a spot that long if not for livescope . Tough to leave when you can see them sitting all over wood. Even when you have to work to get bit .
