At least that is what Turkey Tom(fishing analyst/forecaster) was apparently trying to "verbalize" just 1 mile from my launch site yesterday.

The single-pole obsession that I easily seem to use in either fresh or saltwater trips was well-rewarded with another banner day. I decided on the freshwater Crappie side that was left untapped for the last 5 weeks or so in favor of the saltwater variety. Ultralight spinning w/4 lb mono or braid w/1-32 oz heads with Bobby Garland(blue ice) and Bonehead(various) small rat-tail bodies(2-3") were the ticket for 18 + 3 "passengers for the ride home. Crappie(18) measured to 14.5"/1.8# & Mr. Whiskers(3) tipped the scales to 5#. Probably encountered(landed/lost) about 25 ish Crappie and 5 whiskered-wonders, but enjoyed myself to the MAX even with MAX(HOT) water/air temps.! Thanks for reading, enjoy the pics-

Those kitties WILL make sure your "tackle is tight"!

Take note: Even though you may consider some family, friends, acquaintances TURKEYS take a breath and hear what they have to tell ya!

That’s a good bag of feesh there! A shame there couldn’t be some turkey to share the plate too.

Actually K- research reveals Bullheads have a squared off tail, these clearly have v-shaped = Channel cats IMO...
