in a big way, from "MY" Crescent Curse...Yep had made plans to try & hoist a few 2lb. Crescent slabs over the rail, but as my once annually pilgrimage to Crescent=the same results, a big tease w/low #ers. The weather was IMO perfect to troll, as scene in the lake photo, no wind or fog. Fished 6hrs w/4 keepers & of the (4) a 15"(2.1lbs.) & 14" & maybe 10 fish total w/throwbacks. So @ this pace the gears started turning upstairs & I decided to hit Woodruff on the way home , for the 1st time this season...WOW...found out the baits & whatever weather effect, was out the window as 1 solid fish after another came to the boat. Think 7 more 14" & another (6) 13" from 2:30-5pm. A black head road runner w/June bug paddle tail was the ticket. Wind would fare up a lit' then die down again, but all & all sure left a big ole ....also seen the most unusual boat headed back into the ramp, thought it was a fiberglass vehicle w/ outboard, till I got closer, was about 10ft. long...go get ya some...

That's one of the rental mini houseboats from Hontoon Landing State Park, I think they have 3 or 4 of them. People camp in them along the river in little creeks and coves.

that's a great save for sure. when one lake was a bummer you hit jackpot at the backup on the way home. WTG!
