That's right, I got that blood disorder that occurs from the company and environment I've been unable, thankfully, to avoid. Don't know the medical terminology but the symptoms seem uncurable at this point, but I'll refer to it as Saltus maximus = salt in veins! Yesterday's ticket had me adding more diversity(as if I need it) to my Salt-circus lifetime membership. Blue crabs and gray(mangrove) snapper easily brought a ton of fun to yesterday's outing. Manny's have been a by-catch in my past but thought why not specifically pursue these mini, delicious "pit bulls"(with teeth!) on 4 lb. tackle(wouldn't even consider 2 lb.!) on 5 foot crappie gear! Using trap-caught, lip-hooked mud minnows on 1/16 oz. plain pink jig heads yielded both "numbers" and diversity(catfish/trout). Though the vast majority were undersized <10", I managed my 5 fish limit with an 11"r taking honors during the "child in a playground" light tackle slugfest. My allowed 5 recreational crab trap provided me with 15 nice-sized males to bring to the brown-paper clad table sit down. Fishing again was noteworthy with my one-a-trip Pompano catch and a healthy 5 fish trout limit >23". Big fish engulfed a red/gold Mirrolure lil' John. Enjoy the pics-

New adage/motto- Better to have Salt in veins than Salt in vain!
Another note- Lost a beautiful upper slot Snook @net when hook pulled. That's OK though...Snook season arrives Feb. 1st!
