Dead Sticking Open Water

My son and I hit the water this afternoon hunting open water fish. Found 34 dead sticking open water 34-40 foot. Fish seem to be pushing shad up onto deep water flats. We used 1/8 and 1/4 ounce hand ties in tandem below 1/4 ounce egg sinker. Nothing to big but we will eat well this week.

Fishing open water during the winter is something relatively new to me but I am starting to like it more and more.
