Great time & fellowship, Big thanks Slim Jim for hosting & putting the event together, Slab for prizes & calendars, and all who helped along the way, I think all the boxes got checked....Big crowd as well, would have to say over 30 folks attended...As for the fishing, I think only 5 of us braved the conditions 3 on the lake & 2 more in the river, the rest of you didn't miss much, took a sunrise semi-calm pic at day break & a winds-of-change pic at around 9:45 that made the ride in quite dicey...as always, look forward to the next one!!

A big thank you to SlimJim and Paula for organizing this, I think it went off rather well. Another very big thanks to the sponsors and anyone that brought prizes, that was a lot of fun and some good stuff showed up. As always, the food was great and mostly consumed, that speaks for itself. Great pics to all who took them. Me, I went brain dead and forgot to take the first one. I counted 31 folks that attended, a good turnout for the conditions. My hats off to those that braved the conditions, my flat bottom boat would not have had a good time. Looking forward to the next one, and seeing everyone again. Extra good to see Chuker and Danny, y’all need to get out more. Til next time........
Great job slimjim and everyone that helped and cooked and brought goodies. Food was great. Just wondered where the crappie.com cake was! Doh
Slimjim: I want to give a big thank you to up2specks (Doug ) and Speck Detector ( Jef ) for providing the fish frying stations, the fish and doing all the fish frying. Thanks to Slab (Ed ) for the prizes. Thanks to Bitter's Bait & Tackle for their contributions for the door prizes. And to everyone that brought all the good food !!
Fishing was rough! Not many made it out, but some nice size did make it to the scale:
First place went to Larry : 1.71 pounds
Second place went to Speck Detector : 1.64 pounds
Third place went to Pontoon Pappy : 1.01 pounds
and again, I want to thank everyone for making this such a fun day
Until next time, tight lines and full nets
