It’s been a long two years since we did any serious fishing. Ever since Linda broke her arm in Oct. 2018 we’ve been grounded. A little over year later we were just about to get back to fishing when she had to have rotator cuff surgery on her other shoulder probably the result of the same accident that broke her arm. She is now almost finish with physical therapy on it and is starting to use it to some degree. She is still limited to lifting only 2 pounds. With the weather so nice we decided to go perch jerking. No use straining that arm just yet. She did well and we managed to keep 30 nice bluegills to bring home. Linda handled the task quite well. A few more trips like that and we might be able to move up to bigger fish.
We have to thank to generous fellows that gave up their spot to us after catching all the BGs they wanted. One of them told me that the day before in the same exact spot they caught 45 nice slabs. He said the water was moving pretty fast but yesterday it was standing still.
Met my old friend Tddfrt. He like the rest of the fishermen weren’t catching but a few bass.
It was sure a great feeling to be back on the water. I managed to get to a little over 13 hours on the new motor.
