Okay, so it's mid/late June but I decided to do some longlining before the sun got up and drove them deep. The fish actually stayed in the top 8 FOW most of the time I was out. Took a buddy and his son out to MCL just to check it out. The fish were fairly aggressive and thumping it pretty good. We spent most of the morning longlining with a 1/24 oz jig at about .9mph. When we first got out water temp was 79 with a lot of floating scum on the water. As it warmed and the wind started to blow a little more it rolled the scum into the water column. Visibility was only about one foot with the rolled in soup. Looked like a bunch of pollen with some slime mixed in. No telling what the clarity was under that.

Left about 1300 and water temp was up to 81 by then. Southern Pro Black with chartreuse tail was the jig of choice, the bass were all over the wild cat jigs. Did do some jig fishing on the brush piles and picked up a few more. Had a good dozen crappie and a couple of bass by the time we left. Pictures are of some of the 13" fish we caught. Definitely two distinct year groups of fish showing up, the other year class seems to be about 9 1/2 -10 1/2".
