• Should of listened to my Wife...

Between the weather systems Friday & Saturday & church services online, Sunday has become a early morning option.....so I decided to check an old haunt lake Harney. No problem social distancing as I was the only 1 trolling the entire lake, maybe for a reason, caught more than my share, but 1 after another kept getting tossed back in to grow up....did manage 2 stud gills & kept (5) 11-12" fish to make a meal for my son who only eats the fried version, because I felt bad for him when Mom & me ate Parmesan cheese butter crusted air fried crappie we've come to enjoy lately, the day before. As for excitement, well that came in the form of a 4 ft gar that came boat side for a pic on 4# test & 30 minute battle, tried a net job & realized this wasn't going to work as it netted 25% of it's body....soooo get home & wife asked how was the fishing, said ok, just no size to them, when she promptly replies, "Should'a went to Jesup, isn't that where you've been catching them" .....still beats a good day at work!

You did catch fish so that is half the battle better then being skunked.
