• Some Successful Crappie Tips

    1 hit spots you now well
    2 frequent those spots the same time of year when the fish like to be there
    3 change jigs frequently ,color can matter
    4 go early and late during high activity times
    5 anything and I mean anything that might be a crappie bite is likely a crappie bite
    6 add scent to your jig
    7 use light tackle if possible
    8 bring a float or 2 with you
    9 just because they are not biting does not mean they are not there
    10 never give up easily
    11 move around to find a bite
    12 give no crappie any slack line under any conditions
    13 try to land the crappie quickly
    14 wind is not always the enemy
    15 noise may or may not spook them
    16 present your bait slowly and methodically
    17 they often like a rising lure
    18 a small hook is not the enemy
    19 a graph that you understand is your friend
    20 docks often have numbers of crappie under them
    21 never underestimate the quarry
    22 is …..ketch 22

    tip number 23 btw …..build and sink your own crappie cover frequently as it builds confidence and spots to look

      24-100 Don't wait until you feel a bite. Watch your line very, very carefully. If it moves, twitches, goes up or down just a fraction or does anything besides just lay there - SET THE HOOK!
