last time I caught a limit on my home lake & some Slab sauce helped it happen. I think it's safe to say we all rather have a good day on our home lake vs elsewhere, time, travel, ect... The problem , however, the lake I call home, Lake Harney, was devastated by hurricane Irma a couple yrs back, with fish kills that filled the ditches on Rt. 46 for miles. Everytime I check the ole stomping grounds I get but a glimpse of what once was, well today that changed, with all the boxes checked....good healthy fish from 12"-15" in the mix...the bite was quite different than anytime I can remember, long periods without anything 30-40 minutes, then 4 poles down at once, must have happened 5 times & the other strange thing was that the best bite was when the Sun was highest in the sky noon to 2:30pm, was also when the wind picked up a little.... left them biting, with a great feeling about this yrs season, will keep the fingers crossed....hope your home lake brings you tight lines...
