Had Monday off work so N2crappie and I went up to Mark Twain to fish. We fished some bridge piers and brush piles before we got the trolling rods out.
It was hot, 90 degrees and humid. No breeze and the lake was flat except for some jet skiers out there. Not much in the way of shad out on the main lake where we usually see them. The heat got to us so we went back to the bridge piers to hide in the shade. N2crappie stayed with his jig while I was fishing mainly with minnows. We did catch pretty many fish releasing anything under 10". I did catch a crappie that had a tag on worth $75 from the Missouri Conservation. That will pay for the gas. Now if I can only win another $50,000 I might break even. I had a good time out there fishing with Mark. Top photo center fish has the tag in it.
