Hat change time and do NOT laugh

You might start the day with a nifty crappie.com ball cap .
but to be sure on your return to the sun midday you will likely change hats .
heck you might even use some slab sauce from an old bottle that is almost empty .
but its likely only because your are eager to open a new garlic bottle up .
one thing for certain some days are better than others on the water .
why I don't know and trying to decide what factors drives it is crazier than me .
sure was a nice day to whack lips and you might even notice the lip tissue on my jig
in the real pretty slabsauce and jig photo I took .
now mind you I was lectured by the local tribe about having to use minnows
was told over and over its a minnow bite due to the muddy water .
somewhere in the area of 5 to 1 against the 2 locals using minnows
one gave up and started catfishing and the other changed over to a jig .
in the end they had lots of fish in the basket to go with the ONE keeper they got
just so you know it wasn't a me me me thing
I returned to a different spot at midday on that lake and let me say this about that
that lunch break there was as good as it gets .
I hammered em like nobodies business all alone in that big sun
no big fish in the mix but to be sure almost every fish was a keeper both visits
managed about 35 keepers in so many minutes second visit
and let me just say this about that ….the jig was simply MAGIC !
it even ketched a pretty nice combo rod and reel with the upc still on the handle !
complete with a nice crappie jig on it I might just add ….
so in the end will slabsauce ketch you a new rod and reel combo ?
I don't know but it did for me ...
