    Was going to fish area trout rods today and thought better of it - glad I did. Instead went mostly with Bluebird Favorite (European UL style) and my short Aji rod. Rolled up on a 12' hill in 21' of water and had a blast on big 10" CNBGs. BFO was a spent female that measured 11.5" X 12.5" = 2.0lbs. - should have been measuring the girths a long time ago.
    Had to keep some 10" fish - promised a friend that I would bring him some fish. Never thought I would be culling 10" CNBGS..... Forgot the battery for my camera - had to use the cell phone. All the fish were caught on Auto jigs tipped with a cricket.

      That female is almost grotesque! Nice gills! Haven't seen gills like that since I was a kid.

      Thnx for the comments guys. Got another one today, slightly larger, she was 12" X 16.5" = 2.72 lbs.

      I have trouble finding and catching a 2 pound slab and you're catching 2 pound gills. I can only dream.

      gene - Out here there's a few lakes that have the same and a couple that have bigger Coppernose. Some days at LP if you don't keep 10" fish - you ain't going to eat...
