Billbob arrived at Florida Sanford Airport and was escorted to his awaiting vehicle by none other than the real owner of Crappie.com, my wife.
And upon his arrival at Crappie.com headquarters he commenced to catch the Crappie on his 16th favorite fishing lake in Florida known as Lake Griffin (aka, the dead sea). At least Billbob was able to catch himself a nice Slab Limit! lol - Actually i think we caught 2 crappie and a couple bass/brim that day. Not too shabby for only maybe two hours on the water (for Griffin!).
We headed North to Georgia. We heard there was a Crappie Camp on Lake Blackshear so we knew we had to attend. The event was being held at Georgia Veteran's Campground just outside Cordelle, and they had a small Museum there. Billbob posed in front of the Vietnam War exhibit reminiscing a bit about the M16 he used to carry.
To our surprise the director of the Museum asked if Billbob served his country in the Vietnam War, and then proceeded to present him with a war memorial pin.
We went on to our campsite and there we met up with Papasage. This is the first time these two JMMA Award Winners have met.
Ragfly Jig Man was also there. Good to see him and Brenda as we had not seen each other in years.
Litewirehooker met us at the launch ramp and he took the gewber fishing.
Synchronized waving. lol
Curtis and Billbob got into some nice Blackshear slabs using his jigs http://litewirehooks.com/
We then ate, and ate, and ate. Dang the food was good. Thanks to all the helped.
Rusty introduced Billbob to the crowd and thanked him for his service. Welcome home Billbob.
It was a great turnout. See y'all next time.
