Got out one morning this week to give it a go. Fish were hanging at 5-7' in 12 FOW. Visibility was about 18" and the water was probably a foot high were I was. The color of choice was chartreuse with glitter in it. Fish were really thumping it. I'd see my line jump a foot before I could set the hook on them. No real monsters, but good fish, I kept a half limit and only had one short and a couple of bass to boot. The eggs looked to be in good shape in most of the girls. No one had their tuxedo on for the big dance yet. I did have a couple of females that had no egg development at all, looked like mid summer fish. Fish were pretty white, looked like they had just come in from deeper water. Believe we're getting close.
