Of my life came yesterday. My youngest Granddaughter that will turn 3 on June first and her mom got to go and catch Tahlia's first fish. This Pawpaw was looking forward to this for a long time. We tried around Christmas but without the boat and uncooperative fish, it didn't get done. We didn't stay too long and the fish were once again stubborn. Life vest in place we took off south and found out real fast that while she didn't mind the boat moving along at 25 mph or so, she didn't like the wind in her face when we went a bit faster. Good enough, now we know. No doubt that will change in years to come. Stopped and tried some wood to make her first a fat Crappie, but as I said, they were stubborn and nothing happened there. Staying on task, I shut down where I knew there should be something to stretch the line. Well, they were supposed to be here. Fished along 75 yards and I was beginning to wonder if we would get it together today, and finally the cricket payed off. The little float went down and here was her first, a Warmouth about 5 inches long gave her (and her mom) what for and finally came to visit. Below are some pics from the day. Gotta love a child that young that isn't afraid to touch and even kiss her first fish. I have a new fishing buddy on the way up, Thank You God for that. A little while later I was throwing an itty bitty swimmer and the line came tight and a nice Bluegill had found out that he would help make a little girls day and also came to see us. Long about this time , Huntinslabs and Sylvia were working the same bank and headed our way, having about the same luck as we were. We visited for a while and said our goodbyes and headed for the ramp, rain forecasted to be not too far away. On the trailer and put away, we went for lunch and shared pictures with Manga(Grandma) and put the finish on a good trip. Thanks for the visit and coming along on a fine trip. Hope you all get out soon.......Skeet
