• My wife and another TARP

Everything is relative. That being said, this is a big fish for Fort Loudoun. This guy was hugging bottom in 20 FOW, and was tricked by a Mr. Crappie Bluegrass shad. Water temp was 81. We didn't catch a boatload, but this made up for it. She's racking up on the TARP certificates! Oh, and this fish is still swimming!

The tape is rarely used and has rusted. We usually use the Frabil checker, but not with this one. We knew it was gonna be released as soon as it surfaced, we just can't kill these rare bigguns! No, it's not measured correctly, but will meet the
T.A.R.P. requirements since that only requires 14".

That has to be one of the biggest crappies I've ever seen. Nice! Great that it was released.

I did a poor job of measuring, as I was trying to get it back in the water. It was roughly between 16"-17" (TARP requirements is 14"). The weight was 1.86 on my scale. Not a monster like Mississippi crappie, but a trophy for this lake.

A 16" fish is a dandy in my books. Congrats!

Wow nice catch. Only 1.86. Sounds a little light for that big of fish.

I hope you stuffed some Minnows down the hat fishes neck before the release. He needed a square meal! Nice catch.
