• My new personal best!

Caught my new personal best crappie last night at Grayson lake. Fished all day and did pretty well. Caught mostly bluegill and shell crcracker with a few bass along the way. Then as Dad was motoring us to another spot o was just kind of lazily dragging my jig off the side of the boat and caught a crappie. First one of the day. So then I decided, well nothing much else is going on, so I might as well try trolling for the first time. I caught so many I lost count! Then as it was getting dark I thought my big pole with the bigger bait on it was snagge.... then it took off...
a few minutes and good fight later I had my new personal best crappie in the boat! 14.5 inches and almost 2 pounds! I was so happy I almost flipped the boat! I've never caught a crappie even close to this. It was awesome! And my first time trolling.

Good for you! Trolling can be very productive, did it for first time seriously last year on Mark Twain with beetlespin and Long branch with crankbaits and did very well. sometimes learning by accident opens your eyes to something new and fun. WTG
