LOZ bass, bluegill, and some crappie

Keith (hdhntr) and I put in at Shawnee Bend around 8 am. The trailer lot was completely full with people parking along the drive path. We motored up first to fish the Buck creek area. Fished main point docks with no luck. Headed back in the coves and ran into Slabscab(Kyle) and he gave us some advice on the docks around that area. Crappie were caught on the front of the docks close to bottom. Had to be at least in 14 feet of water and some in 25 feet. I fish blue ice, chartreuse/red and Keith had a combination with chartreuse in it. He had one that jig that was catching a bunch but snagged and lost it. Of course I caught six bass and Keith caught 2 bass and 1 bluegill. We both had a good time on the lake, can't beat that day for being Jan21. No boat problems so that's a plus.

Day was just beautiful for January with the sun shining most of the day. enjoyed getting to know Mark and spending time on the water, just couldn't find that hot dock with the slabs stacked up and didn't catch one dock shooting, tho not for lack of trying and it was fun trying it for the first time. in fact we caught our biggest fish away from the docks in deeper water. Mark caught a lot more than I did especially those trash fish but man they sure stretch your line on light tackle and are fun. Lot of his go to docks didn't produce as hoped but caught enough for a nice fry.
