...and Man! Did it get hot! Whew! Anyway, here's the story...
Put in right after daylight and motored to destination and got lines out. First fish came soon and was a solid keeper. It started kinda slow but was somewhat steady. Kept moving around and it wasnt long before that sun from Hell came up and started blaring. I think it helped the fishing as I was trying to pull about 10' deep in 13'-17' of water. When the sun came out the bait dropped from the surface down to around 6'-8' deep which helped locate the crappie right below the bait.
The bite was good and steady. The umbrella was up but there wasnt even a breeze so the heat was rising QUICK. I battled it out until 10:15AM and decided I'd had enough. I had already dipped my straw hat and shirt into the lake and was still sweating bullets.
Finished the morning with a good Ga limit of fish and caught a total of 59 crappie, a couple small cats, and a couple gar (which always makes a mess of things). Here's a couple pics...
