• Another Round with catfish on the Bone, with Catapa worms

The channel is really starting to fill up with Shad - But not so many that Big tree top laying in the channel can not be clearly seen on sonar. Bro and I fished one today in the channel edge. Things most of the day was fast and furious- the Fish were bigger than the last two trips. We were tied off on a string where the boat swung back and Fourth across the big top. we had a little piece of crawler then filled the hook with a Catalpa worm.. Bro caught the big fish of the day, a Channel Cat at 17 inches, I also caught a cat that was 17 inches , Bro said it was a Hardhead, it was black and skinny. We had to put away our Crappie Poles . Bro caught no small fish so I took up the slack on them ---- 28 cats was the count this time and we had to put 2x6's on the table to hem them in for Photos--- I Had a big cat hammer one of my best Crappie poles so hard it broke the Pole in the middle. spots like this one will be full of crappie later and easy to find now. I will be Eyeballing the door Prizes at the D'Arbonne Gathering

Looks good Larry. The black skinny one is prob just a male channel cat. They'll still eat!
