I have been fishing the LOZ for a long time and decided to try some new to me territory. So I tried to find Wigwam Access, overestimated how much gas I had and my terrible since of direction.
Got lost had to run back to Gravios Mill to get gas.....tried it again and finally found the ramp waaaaayyyy down in the holler. Water was chocolate milk which I should of known...didn't like my chances and left....launched at Gravios Mill which is another ramp I have never used....searched for clearer water... I could see the mud line from the ramp.
Fished a few shallow docks...nothing...decided to go across the lake to some deeper shaded water...second dock peeled off 15 fish on about 20 pitches. Letting an 1/8 oz blue ice slab slayer drop about 15 feet and reeling up. Fish were hitting half way up to almost the surface.
They defiantly wanted the jig moving sideways a little bit. Water temp at 64mm was 52, Gravios Mill 56 to 57. Ended up being a great day....Back to my old stomping grounds tomorrow.
