• A good start to... Lake Conway

hopefully a great Lake Conway fishing season. Matt Horton and I finally got to get out in the lake after quite a long layoff. I had hoped to unlock some of Lake Conways summer secrets, but was not able to get out there very much. It will be different this fall and winter. Matt and I managed to catch over 40 crappie today (a new personal high for us) but we only managed 15 keepers. All kept fish were 10-12 inches. No real good ones. Fish were caught both shallow and deep on jigs. I got to watch my good buddy Chris (Cmj) boat probably 50 crappie on his own. Man is he a fish catching machine! I saw one guy catch a huge 2+ pound slab on a cork and minnow in about a foot if water.

Matt and I both felt like last year was a year of watch, listening, and learning. This year we hope to put a good whoopin on them. If you are out there on Friday, you will probably see me. I am off every a Friday the rest if the year. Stop by and say hey!
